Michael Holton is remembered as one of the best shooting guards in the history of Pasadena basketball. In 1978-1979, he was an important part of the Bulldogs' back-to-back CIF Championships.
In 1979, the Bulldogs shocked the high school basketball world with a win over the undefeated, nationally #1 ranked Verbum Dei High School in a CIF Finals match up at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
That same Bulldog squad would travel to Spain and win the World Youth Basketball Tournament.
The Pasadena native attended UCLA between 1979-1983. As part of one of the best freshmen guard duals in NCAA history, Michael and fellow freshman Rod Foster led UCLA to the NCAA Finals where they lost to Louisville.
